Wow, I thought that I was the only disappointed Nissan fan. Well, my story goes like this.

 

I AM SENDING ALL THE EMAILS THAT WAS SEND TO Natasha NAIDOO Consultant :Customer Support Centre AND  And the email that was send to me from Micheal Branders IC Nissan Roodepoort.

 

My Vehicle was back with them now 4 times for the same problem - they had to take it in today again after they had to replace the seals - after it was replaced on  26/10/2010 got it back on 28/10/2010 there is a  Noise on front suspension when turning the vehicle or driving ! I am now sitting without a car  FROM 11H00 no one phoned me UP TO NOW 16H49  -   I HAD TO PHONE THEM THEY WILL SEND MAIL TO JOFFREY TO PHONE ME! HE IS VERY BUSY WITH MONTH END! HE WILL ONLY GET BACK TO ME TOMORROW 02/1/2010  -- SORRY.  SUSAN WILL ONLY SEND ME A VEHICLE 02/11/2010 ABOUT 7H000 FOR 8H00 - I AM NOT VERY HAPPY WITH THIS MATTER!!!! I NEED ANSWERS FROM IC NISSAN REGARDING MY VEHICLE - IT WAS ONLY THE CLUTCH THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED NOW I AM SITTING WIT MORE PROBLEMS THAN JUST THE CLUTCH!!!! WHERE WILL IT END !!!!  THE KM IS ONLY 106 000.

 

WOW!!!! IS NISSAN ONLY GOOD TILL THE FIRST 100 000. KM AFTER THAT SELL IT A.S.A.P !!!!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for bringing this under my attention and would like to reassure you of our commitment to you our valued customer.

 

With regards to the fault on the vehicle I would like to clarify the repairs that have to be done to the vehicle, to rectify the oil leak.

 

Upon inspection of the oil leak it was found that the side shaft oil seal on the right hand inner c.v. joint is leaking and that the two oil seals that seal of the gearbox oil from the transfer box is also leaking. To replace the side shaft seal will only mean that we are going to remove the side shaft to fit the seal. To repair the transfer box seals, we have to remove the transfer box to fit the new seals.

 

At no point are we going to remove the complete gearbox to do this repair and therefore there will be no influence on the gearbox nor the clutch.

 

The above mentioned repairs will be done at no charge to you the customer.

 

With regards to the the parts, we have the side shaft seal in stock and one of the transfer box seals also in stock. The second transfer box seal will be in stock at our dealer on Monday morning as was discussed between you and Susan Marx (Service Advisor)

The abovementioned vehicles clutch was repaired by IC Nissan   R 22 897.45 - I took it back for a oil leak - it was a seal that was not installed when they replaced the clutched - in Aug 2010 - Now the vehicles is in for its 105 000 km SERVICE    I told them that the  vehicle is still leaking oil - they phoned me and told me that there is 3 seals they have to replace they have  not in stock will only have on Monday 18/10/201 - they need to take out the Gearbox to do the seal replace ments   WHAT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

WHAT IF THE CLUTCH - OR GEARBOX IS DAMAGED WHO'S FOLD WILL THIS BE - THIS IS NOW THE SECOND SET OF SEALS THEY NEED TO TO REPLACE - AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW CLUTCH SET!!!!!!!!  MY FIRST LETTER WAS ON THE 14/07/2010 REGARDING THIS MATTER AND NOW IT IS THE  14/10/2010 AND NOW THEY HAVE A ANOTHER STORY!!!!!!!!!   PLEASE I NEED A ANSWER A.S.A.P.

This writing serves as confirmation that IC Auto Nissan Roodepoort have thoroughly and collectively investigated your Clutch concern and based on the trial and outcome thereof we would like to confirm the following:-

 

·         The abovementioned vehicles clutch was inspected and tested by IC Auto Nissan Roodepoort;

·         It was confirmed that the clutch was extremely hard and was slipping;

·         The clutch components need to be replaced due to fair wear and tear.

 

Based on the above we can unfortunately not make any financial contribution towards the costs in repairing your vehicle.  Please be so kindly advised that clutch components are excluded from the Nissan New vehicle warranty. Refer to page W-5, Nissan has not be liable for costs of routine maintenance and service, replacement of consumable parts, glass, tyres or components subject to normal wear and tear.
